ConsensUs (2023 - )
The transition to a new model of society in balance with the environment implies radical changes and requires the commitment of all stakeholders, who may have sometimes antagonistic opinions or positions. It is therefore necessary to support these decisions, which are, by their very nature, shared and collective. The aim of this project is to develop a multi-stakeholder decision-making tool supported by multicriteria analysis and preference modelling techniques.
Following the proposal of a model and an initial mock-up of the tool developed and tested in a teaching context within the ERPI laboratory, the aim of this project was to implement additional IT developments to take this work further and enable testing under real conditions or in larger-scale scientific projects. On the one hand, this project enabled work to be launched on the functional aspects of the site: list of version 1 malfunctions and classification by criticality/priority for resolution. At the same time, work was carried out on the ergonomic aspects of the interface: heuristic evaluation of version 1 and proposal of new visual mock-ups. Based on this work, a version 2 of the site was designed, with improved technical performance and an enhanced user experience.
Two test sessions were then organised. The first, using user experience evaluation methods such as Attradiff, was carried out in June 2023, in-house at the ERPI laboratory, involving around ten people.
The second was carried out in October 2023, with external stakeholders, at a research day on multicriteria analysis organised by INRAE, during which we offered a workshop at the LF2L (Lorraine Fab Living Lab). 20 researchers and professionals were able to use the ConsensUs tool at this event.
This project also enabled the work to be promoted at the IAMOT 2023 conference and the publication of a journal article highlighting the progress of the work:
